Once again, I found a Glass Master watching the film “Holy Frit” on the online Slamdance Film Festival. Here is an Artist that has developed a way to “Paint” with fused glass that can be used in Stained-Glass panels using cut Bullseye coloured glass and Glass Frit.
Watching him making the panels for the window for the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood Kansas USA was just amazing. It looked so simple the way he just sprinkled the different coloured frit onto the cut glass below. Then put it in the kiln to fire. When the glass was removed from the kiln the piece was so beautiful and so detailed.

Narcissus is considered to be one of the most significant contemporary artists in glass. And he has way of painting with glass has defined a new pathway for the art stained glass. He is best known for his remarkable artworks in public spaces which has given him worldwide attention.

The Dome of light: Wind, Fire and Time is the largest illuminated glass dome in the world and is installed in the Central Station of the Kaohsiung Rapid Transit metro system in Southern Taiwan.

And he has numerous art pieces installed throughout his home country of Italy. Even the entrance to the basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri built by Mychelanelangelo in Rome.
His art is seconded to none in his medium of Fusing Glass. And he is an inspiration to me and Fused Glass artists everywhere. I’m in awe of his talent and watching what can be achieved in glass art lifts my soul. And makes me want to add as much light and colours into the glass art I make myself. I can only try.
